Jay Chou?
Of course not lah! Jay Chou where got so tall and big size......but then not far-fetched lah...at least the rapping is of some standard. For those who have noticed, YES the person grooving to the beat in the video is MUA! and YES, I can rap.......quite alright too! (only in mandarin...english I can rap too but a bit "lau hong" lah cos my "ang moh" no slang so don't sound so nice)
This was filmed by the music school I used to learn singing in. I was lucky enough to be invited by the music director of the school to take part in their artiste course and this was one of the weekly performance that every student in the course has to participate in. Sad to say that was my last performance in the course, but it was also my best performance as rated Top 3 for that week by the audiences. Throughout the course, I got low to almost no votes for my weekly performances. Maybe because I got no star factor or I was nervous most of the time on stage. It is not easy performing on stage I tell you!
Then this particular week, the music director wanted to use Jay Chou as the theme of the performances. We are suppose to choose one of his songs to sing. I was thinking in my head "yeah baby!". Why you might ask, that's because I like his songs. (Actually, long before, I don't listen to his songs. Then one day, I heard one of his early rap songs who was very popular, 双截棍. I found it interesting and challenging, so I thought to myself maybe I could try to learn the rap. I listened to it many times and tried catching the groove, beat and lyrics at the correct timing. After many tries, I was able to rap the song and remembered all the lyrics. From there on, I started listening to his songs and learning all his nice rap songs. One thing lead to another, I began to like hip-hop stuff and rap songs. Somehow I like grooving to the beat and rhythm.) Anyway, I suggested to the music director if I could try performing a rap song instead and he agreed, saying it might be something different for the audience. During rehearsals, I had a lot of fun practising the song and my fellow coursemates were laughing away at my actions and how I sort of became another person when it comes to rapping. So there I was rapping away my final performance, and maybe because it was something I liked, I was quite natural on stage and that might be the reason why the audience voted for me. I am no longer in the course due to various reasons, but it was a very good and memorable experience for me. I made many friends in the course.
By the way the song in the video is 红模仿 by Jay Chou in his 依然范特西 album.
And I am going to his concert this friday with my sweetie!

A blessed me......
Wow wow wow......it's been a long long while.......yes if you look at my last post date you'll know what I mean. Happy 2008!
Many things have happened to me, but I am too lazy to write on the blog. Would rather spend time doing other things. Oh well, I guess most of my close friends know what is happening in my life right now so I don't bother writing it on the blog. But I finally decided that I should post something after so long....so here it goes......
Firstly, I thank God for all that He has given me and all that has happened in my life. Praise the Lord.
Secondly, I have changed job. I am no longer working in Bedok. I now work in Somerset. Don't really wish to disclose the company name so publicly but overall, it's much better than my previous company, although I still miss some of my colleagues there. Made some good friends throughout the 2 years.
Thirdly, I am happily unavailable now.....not that anyone would care.....but yeah, I am very much in love. It wasn't a smooth-sailing journey at first but as they say "What doesn't break you, only make you stronger" and "Every dark cloud has a silver lining". Our relationship is getting stronger everyday. I want to say to my sweetie, "I love you, dear".
Fourthly, I have moved to Tampines. No longer staying in Bedok South. But strangely, I don't miss my old place. In fact, I like my new place a lot although it can be quite noisy with the main road just beside the flat and it can be quite irritating at late night when some stupid motorcyclists and their lousy crap-shit bikes speed pass the road and their sharp engine noise can be heard.
Summing up, that's about what has happened in my life for the past year. Recently, there has been many deaths of unknown causes....it's quite depressing to see lives gone just like that. A recent death of a local artiste has caused much grief in the local entertainment circle. He was a good friend to many artistes and a very fillial son. He brings laughter to everywhere he goes. But life is very much unpredictable. It made me realised that I should be thankful to whatever I have and treasure those who care for me and those who I love dearly. Never take things for granted....
Good job, lovely gf, great life. One could not ask for more.

It's been a while....
Sigh.... well......it's been a while since I last write on my blog......
Many things have happened during this period of hiatus.
Happy and sad memories.....but I'm glad they happened......made me experienced and grew up a lot.....
Maybe I will gradually post up what had happened as time goes by.......
